blue sausage toes

that's what i have. big fat sausage toes. and they're blue-black too. i called my doc concerned that i was losing circulation in my foot, hence the blue color. doc told me to pinch the tips of my toes. if my toes change color (flesh to white to flesh) within 3 seconds, i'm good. circulation good. if not, if it takes 10 seconds, then i'm not good, circlation not good. i spent a good 15 minutes pinching my toes. the difficulty came not from pinching, but from seeing the tips. since my foot is bandaged up and any movement causes pain, it was tough trying to contort my foot around to face me and to see the tips. so i just kept pinching and trying to peer over my toes. i think i'm ok. the bandages don't feel so tight that they'd be cutting off circulation in my foot. maybe esther will come by later and pinch my toes for me, just to be sure.
