i took a shower today!!!! standing up!!!!

yep, i sure did. and i'm so happy!! no more sitting in bathtub, hanging the left leg over the side, keeping the shower curtain above my knee, awkwardly trying to maintain my balance on my right butt cheek.

but washing my foot for the first time in over a month wasn't too pleasant. there was an excessive amount of skin to be sloughed off, the scabbed area of the surgeon's incisions were still very tender and numb, and my forefoot area was still very swollen. not quite ready to go back into a regular shoe....

i'd post a photo of it... (yes i have a photo), but maybe it's a little too graphic.


i feel as if i just let my foot out of bandage jail!!! so free...
