sucks asss.....

since i have no cash flow right now, i thought i'd give the service industry another try.

no way, jose! i hate it. hate having to dress a certain way, act a certain way, and deal with crappy snooty customers a certain way. plus i'm just too old now. i don't have the energy i had 3 years ago tending bar til 2 or 3 in the morning. i don't have the enthusiasm to work late in to the night for up to 8 or 9 hours a shift only to go home with a measly $150 in my pocket.

so after one training shift... and a few days contemplating how much i just can't bring myself to go in for another shift, i quit.

hate being a quitter.. but it's for the best. good for the customer b/c i won't be irritable with them. good for the management b/c they don't have to pay me minimum wage for training. good for me b/c i can sleep at a decent hour and not feel like crap the next morning.

but hey, at least i tried. and now i know. and knowing is half the battle.
