new york CITY resident tax??!?!?

WTF? what the hell is that? i'm working on my taxes (i was patting myself on the back for starting earlier than april this year). so new york STATE is already taxing the shit out of me.... now i find out that new york CITY is taxing me too! as a full year resident of new york city, lucky me gets to be taxed $2,115. fuckin bastards. there goes my refund.

i'm really hoping that i fucked up my taxes my first time around and that my second time trying on turbo tax will changes things in my favor.
