movie catch-up
this past weekend, i watched two, yes TWO, movies in an actual movie theater. V for Vendetta on sat, and Inside Man on sunday. V was great! stylized, comic book-y, and sharp! loved it. Inside Man was good too, but not great. entertaining, yes. nice to see spike lee in a different genre and not all about social consciousness or political slant. just a nice little bank robbery heist movie. would have enjoyed it more had it not been for the fat ass lady next to me that took out her cell phone.. count it... 5 times!!! to check for calls, screen incoming calls, and mumble not-so-quietly into the phone while taking a call.... fat bastard bitch.
but yah, i'm glad i was able to watch some current movies. it's been a LONG while and i miss the whole social experience. popcorn with movie theater butter, people sitting and crowding on both sides of me, 15 minutes of previews, people shhhhusshing other people, walking along sticky aisles, and of course, the goddamn man/woman with the BIG ass hair that sits in the seat DIRECTLY in front of me, blocking my perfect view of the movie screen.
